A Cricut weekend
10/17/06: I took the Cricut home with me last weekend… I wanted to really give it a test run (you know, make sure it isn’t going to be one of those "must have" tools that are sitting on the shelve gathering dust). So, I set myself up a "temporary" work area in the living room (I can’t access my craft room since Bryan moved back home-but that’s another story) and put the Cricut right beside me. At that point I had not yet purchased another cartridge, so was still working with "just" George (which is the one that comes with the machine).
So, I basically scrapped Saturday night from about 6pm to 2am, then again on Sunday for much of the day… (fun!). My RESULTS: I got 18 page spreads done, and used the Cricut on just over half of them. Around 11am Sunday I sent Chuck down to the store to get me a couple more cartridges…but I only opened one, so far!! I think that’s good that I am getting a lot of mileage out them. Anyway.. I mostly made titles and a couple of journalling boxes. I found it incredibly easy, convenient and fun! I feel like it really added something to my pages… (again, I like the look of diecuts, just not the work!)
Overall, so far, I give the Cricut a big Thumb’s Up!! And for those of you who don’t know me very well, yet, be assured that as a REAL scrapper, I NEVER, NEVER, NEVER recommend something I wouldn’t use myself!! Just my thoughts for the day!

Hi Katrina,
First of all, your new website is wonderful…great job! Second of all, thanks for the personal feedback on your Cricut experiences. I have been impressed with the Cricut demos, but I have continually wondered if I would use it frequently enough to justify the cost. I still haven’t decided, but your opinion has brought me one step closer to making the investment.
Thank you,
Carmon
